Porsche 911 – Unchanged, But Hugely Improved!

The Porsche 911, the long standing daddy of the sports car world, has recently been revamped and re released. But what’s changed on the new model?

Most would agree that the looks and styling of the 911, have been fairly consistent since its initial conception in 1964. The subsequent 50 years or so, have been mainly focused on fine tuning, judging by the lack of any real change to the appearance.

So its not surprising then, after having so long to iron out the wrinkles, that the latest 6th generation model of the Porsche is being hailed as one of the best sports cars in production. The 3.4 liter engine produces a handy 350bhp, making the performance quite something. The car will hammer from 0-62 in 4.6 seconds. At 0.1 seconds faster than the previous model, its clearly becoming ever harder for Porsche to improve what most enthusiasts would describe as a sports car god.

Starting prices for the new model are £71.5k, whereas used Porsches in Castleford are available from as little as £6K.
